Ukraine

Local news was one of the early casualties in the invasion of Ukraine by Russia. Even before the first bullet was fired, Russia had co-opted or censored any critical media organization in the territories they invaded, preparing the ground for its occupation. Since the start of the war, however, independent news organizations in other parts of the country have stepped up to provide vital coverage and information to their population and counter the Russian misinformation machine. We’re proud to support these organizations that are not on;y covering the war, but its short and long-term consequences.
