Etilaat Roz

For more than 10 years Etilaat Roz was the most widely circulated daily newspaper in Kabul, establishing itself as a hard-hitting investigative journalism organization, focused on systemic corruption in Afghanistan. But when the Taliban took power, the newsroom was forced into exile. Despite this, Etilaat Roz continues to put out strong journalism that seeks to advance a free press in Afghanistan.

The newsroom was awarded Transparency International’s 2020 Anti-Corruption Award for their efforts exposing abuses of power.

Current Position

Location: Afghanistan (in exile)

Beat: Investigative reporting

Position: This reporter will be responsible for producing stories related to money trails, and requires having well developed investigative journalism skills. The position requires having both knowledge about and being able to develop sources in the financial sector. The candidate must have three years of reporting or investigative journalism experience.
